Love and Food Go Hand and Hand

As many of you know Vincent knows everything that is going on with me. When I have chemo, I go to Duke Cancer Clinic for my treatments. This means I leave the night before and the next day I have treatments. Most time after treatments I come back home to my favorite spot of life, OBX!
So on my way home from Duke this week I had to stop at one of my favorite delis, because I was STARVING..so I stopped at  Countrydeli Owner! (Facebook page)They made me the best sandwich: Turkey with Prov, mayo, o&v with Lettuce and tomato! I ate the whole thing and it was AWESOME! I was even kind and shared half of my sub with my son, Vincent. He loved it too!

March Meeting

OBXKIDSKONNECT will be meeting March 24, 2015 at 5:30pm. Dinner will be served! 

Please remember we are here to help kids make connections and have fun. This is a group to help kids with parents of cancer,chronic illness and or a sudden tragedy/loss.

Feb. 3, 2015-OBXKIDSKONNECT Meeting...What Fun!

Our meeting was wonderful last night, small but wonderful. We are building a family while helping support our community. We have opened OBXKIDSKONNECT to providing Support for kids of Cancer and Chronic Illness patients by making connections. Allowing kids to be kids and not feeling they are alone while providing a network in their school system.

We hope to see you at our next meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 5:30-7:00pm. Dinner will be provided!

Vincents Visit to Hackensack Hospital in NJ

On December 22, 2014 Vincent and I visited Hackensack University Hospital in New Jersey. It was an honor an privilege to meet with a team of professionals from the following departments; pediatrics department, fundraising department, Oncology department, Cancer Hospital and Administrative Director(s) at HU.

Vincent met with these professionals to discuss OBXKIDSKONNECT and the importance of his foundation. It is with great honor that Hackensack Hospital will be implementing OBXKIDSKONNECT and working with us as a team to help provide families and kids with support and love.

In Vincent's words, "to allow kids to be kids and that they are not the only one!"
