October 3, 2014-Vincent Turns 11

On October 3, 2014 Vincent the Founder of OBXKIDSKONNECT! Turned 11 years old. He asked all his friends from his baseball team to please come and enjoy a fun filled day at the pool and clubhouse. He asked them to please not bring gifts for his birthday but to please make a donation to St. Jude's Hospital! Vincent collected $350.00 and is sending the money to St. Jude's this week, November 17, 2014.

This is so important to talk about...We are alway talking about PINK...BREAST CANCER!....BUT WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER AND TALK ABOUT THE COLON...THE BOTTOM TALK ABOUT SHIT! This is something so important to bring up and talk about and advocate for all ages! Please talk to your doctors and lets BRING COLON CANCER AWARE AND IN THE LIGHT OF EVERYONE! COLONG CANCER AND DARK BLUE NEEDS TO BE AS PINK! We Can DO THIS!

OBXKIDSKONNECT is so happy to announce that we are working on something very special for the upcoming conference and the area of Dare County! We can not wait to share this great news....we will keep you posted! 

We (Vincent and I) have been working so hard this summer coming up with some great ideas and activities to discuss with our team. We have some wonderful and great news. 

OBXKIDSKONNECT is so excited to announce that we will part of the State of the Child Conference, on September 26, 2014 at the Ramada, from 9:00am to 4:00pm! Hope to see all of you out there and supporting this great cause!

The Garden Party at The Elizabethan Gardens

CELEBRATING LIFE!

What a wonderful and glorious day it was celebrating life, with friends and family yesterday at the Gardens. The activities for the children and adults were grand. The children were able to  tour the gardens, enjoy the great lawn to run around and color a moral for Relay for Life next weekend, May 10, 2014. While the adults were able to enjoy one another and just relax! Enjoying great music, food and conversation with no worries. 

We would like to thank OBXHospital, Helping Hands and Relay for Life for this great event and allowing us to be part of it! We hope to see you all next weekend at Relay for Life at Festival Park in Manteo!
